| With the development of Chinese traffic cause,more and more earth-rock mixturewere used in embankment engineering considering many aspects.However,most of researches on fill are based on soil or rock,and there is hardly research on the earth-rock mixture such as constitutive models,engineering properties and their effects on embankment and classification and grading on engineering.There isn’t unified standard and perfect theories to guide construction.This paper bases on the engineering to test.According to kinds of fill’s properties and using Evdd and VCVV to study the effects of fill to compact degree.Studying the effect of fill to settlement deformation of embankment by roller compaction test and embankment settlement monitoring.Then kinds of fill would be classified and graded.Conclusions are made as follow.(1)Theory analysis and site test’s result show that Evdd can reflect dense degree of surface of embankment that would be influenced by rock in fill.VCVV could reflect roadbed structure resistance.The uniformity of subgrade is higher with cohesionless earth-rock mixture than cohesive earth-rock mixture.Proper contents of big and hard rock can improve compact degree of subgrade.However,excessive big and hard rack in fill would weaken compact degree because of bad gradation.Water content may influence on the compact degree.Watering cohesionless earth-rock mixture and reducing the water in cohesive earth-rock mixture can improve compaction quality.Different fill need of different compaction technology.Excessive roller compaction may damage subgrade structure for cohesive earth-rock mixture.(2)Sedimentation rate of fill and subgrade show that cohesive earth-rock mixture have bigger sedimentation rate and longer sedimentation time.Maximum grain size and Content of hard rock may influence on the sedimentation rate.Bigger maximum grain size and not proper content of hard rock would develop the sedimentation rate.If cohesive soil contents excessive,the sedimentation rate would be higher.(3)This paper classified and grade kinds of fill based on rock property,soil property,water content and so on.Classifying fill into seven types in detail and grade into‘better’,‘good’and‘middle’based on sedimentation rate,Evd,VCVV and so on.There are the‘better’fill two types,‘good’fill three types and‘middle’fill two types.(4)The result that PFC3D simulate compaction process of earth-rock mixture shows that large rubble content has a most influence on porosity,next come small rubble content,and the third rank is given to maximum grain size of filling. |
