Based on abundant micro hydropower resources in Guangxi area as the research background, this paper expounds the micro hydropower the significance of the structure of the national energy strategy. In this paper, actual survey the Guangxi region has built some micro hydropower operation condition and working condition of equipment, and refer to the part under construction or planning of micro hydropower investment situation, in-depth analysis of the current have been built or planning the survival and development problems of the micro hydropower. To solve the survival and development of the micro hydropower, in terms of electric equipment, this paper proposes the micro hydro-generating unit integrated control device, which is given priority to with excitation control, other functions is complementary.Based on the300KW and below micro hydropower generating unit as the research object, according to the characteristics of the micro hydropower operation, this paper expounds the micro hydro-generating unit integrated control device design requirements and realize the various function of theoretical basis. On the basis of the excitation control function, the device integrated with synchronization, protection, and other functions, realize the sharing of the signal collected, avoid the repeated sampling discrete devices caused by resources waste, simplify the system circuit, and provides a solution for micro hydropower automation transformation, it has the very high cost performance. In particular, the design of the double excitation channel in single device is a major bright spot, which is based on digital excitation control, additional analog channel excitation control, realized the double excitation channel in single device, and enhance the reliability of excitation system.In this paper, according to the actual needs of micro hydropower, in strict accordance with the design requirements, the software and hardware design of device adopts refinement and modular approach. Device hardware design includes:analog plug-in, I/O plug-in, analog channel plug-in, the power plug-in, the CPU plug-in, pulse plug-in and so on several parts. Devices to DSP+CPLD as the control core, realize AD sampling, the I/O control, pulse control, synchronization, such as protection functions. In the excitation control, the realization of the digital and analog channel undisturbed switching is an important content of the design.Finally, through the small power experiment units to test and debug device, and analyses the test waveforms and data, all kinds of performance meet the relevant national standards and requirements.
