Excitation system is an important part of synchronous machine. And it is a major equipment to keep the synchronous machine operating stable and safe. We can change the operating mode of the machine by regulating the exciting currentCombining with scientific research item of Electrical Factory of Hebei University of Technology , this paper selected 搕he Study and Devise of New Double Chunnel Exciting Equipment of Synchronous Motor?as the subject of dissertation for Master degree. It has important practical value.This paper researches a kind of micro-controller excitation equipment of synchronous machine which is based on 87C 1 96KD micro-controller. First it describes the hardware of the system and introduces the design of flashing unit., center control unit based on PSD technology and the change of three different kinds of serial interface ( EIA RS-232C.. RS-422A~ RS-485 ).In this paper it also introduce the software of system .The programs adapt C language and use module design methods. It can exert the exciting current automatically and along the direction of induce currents in the exciting winding .It can realize the over hot protect during flashing process, lose step and regulate step function and high precision PID operation .This system has two running mode. One is keeping the exciting current constant , the other is keeping the power factor constant. The micro-controller excitation equipment of synchronous motor based on 87C 1 96KD micro-controller has a simple hardware and strong ability to resist the interference and high control precision.The equipment has passed the exam .The exam on 900kW synchronous motor and has achieved satisfactory effect .Now this equipment is running on #1 synchronous motor in Chao bai river bump station.
