For a long time, the old city of Kashi has been in residential earthquake threat, the statepromulgated a series of policies and guidance documents, put forward "to the site demolitionreturn to build" as the transformation methods and assumptions and update mode. At the sametime, with the deepening of the western development, people’s living standard has beenimproved, the concept and requirements of people living environment has undergonetremendous changes. Therefore, for the indoor thermal environment of reform and renewal ofthe old city after Kashi residential and comfort has become the focus of concern.Based on the induction, summary, evaluation of learning at home and abroad on thetheory of building thermal environment in residential areas, the old city of Kashi as theresearch object in the summer, the old city in the two typical cases--traditional houses andtransformation and update houses a for field data collection, analysis the influence factors ofresidential indoor thermal environment; the indoor thermal environment is simulated by usingthe software DEST-H, the residential renovation and renewal of the old city of Kashi by usingthe method of interview and questionnaire investigation, the simulation analysis of acombination of qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and computer software, before andafter the reform and renewal of the indoor thermal comfort analysis and evaluation.In view of the old city of Kashi dwellings in the presence of the indoor thermalenvironment in summer, made a number of improvements of thermal environment, to exploresuitable for residential indoor thermal environment of Kashi old city improvement measures,thus for the renewal of the old city, to provide a reference to improve the indoor thermalenvironment.The results show that, with the old city of Kashi residential renovation before updatingthe indoor thermal environment in summer is better than reconstruction and update. Thesurvey results have a certain deviation between theory, PMV/PPD evaluation index forinternational use is not fully applicable to Kashi area; and the simulation results are similar tothose of the measured value, proved the reality software simulation; simulation of structureand ventilation of the old city of Kashi residential structure, the transformation andregeneration of former residence the raw soil as the main material structure has certainadvantages in building form, but the transformation and renewal of residential use after newgrass mud, has certain protection effect, the wall thickness of the greatly reduced; improve thetransformation and renewal of residential and indoor thermal environment with nightventilation.
