In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, the power consumptionof industrial production and daily life increased significantly. So people pay moreattention to the power quality. The power quality not only affected the efficient ofindustrial production and daily life of the residents, but also reflected the country’seconomic strength. So people from all walks of life paid more attention to theproblem of power quality monitoring and optimization. This thesis elaborated thebackground, significance and solution of the power quality monitoring.This thesis discussed the background and significance of power qualitymonitoring system. Analysized the monitoring instruments, the article emphasized theimportance of the research. The indicators of power quality mainly included powersupply voltage deviation, frequency deviation, three-phase voltage unbalance degree,public power grid harmonic, voltage fluctuation and flicker. The thesis analyzed thealgorithm of the power index, summed up the advantages and disadvantages of eachalgorithm. At last found out the suitable methods. The dynamic power quality monitorwas developed based on LabVIEW software platform. The LabVIEW softwareplatform had good human-computer interaction interfaces and easy to combine withhardware. LabVIEW had the characteristics of graphical, So the programminglanguage was easy to understand and modify. In the process of programming, thearticel introduced the design of front panel and program panel. Especially to themeasurement of harmonics, used the method of add window FFT analysis combinedwith large sampling rate, at the same time joined the threshold value judgment andadjacent modules. That made the result of measurement more accurate.In addition,data storage and playback was adopted the method of different interval. It was goodfor the data storage of long time. These data provided scientific basis for futureresearch and analysis of the power quality defects.At last, through the simulation function of LabVIEW,this thesis verified thefunction of the dynamic power quality monitor. It included the function of control, display, measurement, analysis, storage, etc. The monitor realized the function ofon-line monitoring and real-time analysis. Compared with other monitoringequipment,it operated more simple and more convenient to store.
