Due to the application of various kinds of power electronic devices for modern power systems,the various power quality problems that accompany them are increasingly attracting attention.Good power quality is one of the keys to ensuring the stable operation of electrical equipment and the safe use of electricity by businesses and residents.At the same time,because of the time-varying characteristics and distribution characteristics of electrical energy parameters,it must be monitored and analyzed in real time.Therefore,a set of effective monitoring systems became necessary.This paper first elaborates the necessity of monitoring each power quality parameter,and analyzes the feasibility of using virtual instrument technology to develop power quality monitoring system.Compared with the monitoring equipment in the past,the power quality monitoring system designed with virtual instrument technology as a support can effectively solve the disadvantages of single function,difficult debugging,complicated upgrade,and high price.Then,through in-depth study of power quality parameters and its digital model,a power network quality monitoring system based on Lab VIEW was designed.In addition to the monitoring and analysis of various energy parameters,the system can also store monitoring data into a well-designed Data storage module.At the same time,using Web Sever function to achieve the remote operation of the system.Finally,use the simulation function of LabVIEW platform to test the system and verify each measurement module separately.Through verification,it is demonstrated that the system has good accuracy,stability,real-time performance,and it can provide effective data support for improving power quality.
