Automobile accident caused by failure of a certain proportion in the total number of road traffic accidents, and brings enormous loss risk to people’s lives and material property. So, scientifically analyze the risk of automobile fault for the accident, it is imminent to expand the study to reduce the accident rate and severity of the consequences of accident caused by automobile fault. Risk evaluation is efficient method of reducing accident frequency and accident hazard. The thesis uses the theory and method of risk evaluation, make a comprehensive evaluation of automobile accident risk.First, discussed and analyzed automobile brake safety and handling stability which closely related to cars security, and for the main system assembly which easily lead to automobile accident, common type of automobile fault and automobile accident form are summarized and sorted systematically.Secondly, due to our lack of automobile failure accident statistics, in the process of evaluation is difficult to obtain all the information indicators and basic statistics of indicators is not comprehensive, this system is obviously grey. So selects grey cluster evaluation method to evaluate automobile failure accident risk. Taking the statistics automobile accident caused by failure in2011Hebei Province as an example, determine each fault factors belongs to the risk grey type level. However, an automobile is a complicated mechanical system, any component failures are likely to lead to accidents, automobile failure accident need to conduct a more comprehensive risk assessment. Therefore, automobile chassis structure of each system failure factors as an example, using AHP to divide weights of different indexes of evaluation index system and establish set of evaluation results, using the Delphi collection expert data, using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to establish risk assessment model of automobile chassis fault and determine the risk level of the chassis fault. The accident risk results obtained by two methods are basically consistent, which proves that two methods used in the risk assessment of automobile failure accidents are feasible.The final purpose of risk assessment is the risk control of automobile failure accident. Through the analysis, the automobile failure accident risk control theory is based on the accident causing theory, automobile fault is the direct cause of the accident, but behind the direct causes are often hidden deeper reasons like indirect causes and basic causes. Aiming at the deeper reason puts forward the corresponding accident prevention measures.
