Hydrology is the basic work of water conservancy, get governments at all levels’attention. monitoring is the basis of hydrological work, so Hydrological monitoring isextremely important to avoid flood and ensure property safety and economicdevelopment. China is a frequent flooding country, how to effectively prevent theflood, is very important. With the fast development of modern science and technology,the traditional flood warning technology is already cannot completely meet people’sneed and expectations of flood early warning.Due to the Wireless Sensor network(WSN, Wireless Sensor Networks) hasself-organization, rapid deployment, Strong shielding, unattended, etc.Emplace a largenumber of tiny nodes which integrated by sensor, microprocessor and communicationmodules in unattended monitoring area. These nodes self-organized into the wirelesslocal area network, They compose the wireless local area network, and send messageswirelessly through multi-hop manner to the monitoring center and computercommunication network form a flood warning system. Realize the application of thesystem in flood control and disaster mitigation work, improve the ability of floodcontrol early warning and flood control emergency response.The wireless sensornetwork technology is the basis of the whole system, responsible for the collecting,aggregation and forecast of hydrological data such as rainfall, water level, flood speedand so on. For the traditional one has some shortcomings such as less observationpoints, slow data acquisition and unreliable data transmission and so on. Fortunately,the wireless sensor network can solve the problem effectively. Therefore, theresearcher designs a wireless sensor network model based on ZigBee technology.Based on Xiangjiang River in Hengyang city of Hunan province, This article researcheson Wireless Sensor Networks use ZigBee protocol. Firstly briefly introduces the structureand characteristics of wireless sensor network; Secondly, brief introduction the characteristics of ZigBee technology, its equipment composition, the network topologystructure and routing protocols are presented and the detailed description of the protocolstack and its structure and function of each layer are presented; Thirdly, the functionalrequirements and the overall design model of the wireless sensor network based on ZigBeetechnology used for the automatic system of hydrological data acquisition is proposed basedon the analysis of the network structure and its application environment. Then introduced thedesign of the hardware and software note of this system in detail, the hardware design adoptsCC2530main chip and the CC2591RF chip to implement, and presents the softwaredesign flow chart of coordinator nodes, router nodes and terminal nodes. Then, the core ofthe paper is introduced in this part including the software, hardware designs of each node inthe network,Use LabVIEW software as the tool of network monitoring center to analysisHydrology data to do experiment simulation.
