With the rapid development of modern electric automation technology, automaticcontrol level of large thermal power DCS was gradual maturity, while the majority ofsmall steam turbine generator set relatively have low level of automation, A largenumber of equipment still use manual control, To design a economic and security setfor small turbine DCS is very necessary.Domestic DCS technology is increasinglymature,Economic price and localization services are the advantages of small thermalpower unit DCS automation.In this paper, the main content is based on Beijing guodian embellish technologylimited company HDPF system’s application,and apply it to thermal power plantexpansion project in shandong province.It introduced steam turbine equipment controland DCS development present situation, and establish HDPF system as the core ofsmall steam turbine control system to carry on the design and research.This article isfocuses on the scene of the steam turbine monitoring and protection, equipmentcontrol, data acquisition and management, and DCS system installation and debugging,etc.Through the analysis of site condition and steam turbine protection principle, wedesign a steam turbine emergency interrupt control(ETS),and implement the runtimefor steam turbine in case of an emergency stop to protect.To solve the problem of fieldequipment and its control condition carry on the design.It mainly include thedistribution of DCS measuring points, the signals’ processing method, the hardwarestructure of HDPF system, control algorithm, database management, process design,etc,and applied to the thermal power plant steam turbine control system.Now the siteof the project is running in good condition, the equipments control level is improvedcompared with the original unit, the system operation is convenient, the real-timeparameters and alarm information can be timely and accurate display on CRT.Thepractice shows that stability, security, adaptability of the HDPF control system are allreach the control requirements of field equipment, the system has good control effect.
