Safe and reliable operation of the power system related to the various aspects of ourdaily lives, and its operation process of any failure could have a significant impact. As animportant part of power system operation, the substation running management is alsocrucial. Traditional substation equipment patrol work affected by automation level andhuman factors, and the working efficiency and intelligent level is low, patrol officers cannot be timely and effective defects found and processing equipment defects, which is alarge substation running safety hidden trouble.Specially aiming at the shortcomings of the traditional substation patrol work, thispaper developed an intelligent substation equipment patrol system. Based on moderncomputers and mobile handsets and RFID non-contact technology, webservicetechnology and PDA technology, it is an information management system ofstandardization, informationization on substation patrol and scientific management.This paper analyzes the significance of the background and status of research andresearch systems both at home and abroad, and the main research contents. System areanalyzed in this paper the research background and significance, and research status, andstudy the main research content. Introduces the substation intelligent patrol systemchooses the B/S network structure, the Web system platform, the.net framework,ASP.NET development tools and Visual c#programming language, and mainly relatesto the RFID technology, Webservice technology, and PDA. It has carried on the detailedsystem design from the background management system and hand-held patrol terminalsystem two aspects. This paper also introduces the design of each function module indetail and shows the implementation of the system with page. Through the effectiveimplementation of the system and the system analysis, the system design proves toachieve the desired purpose, can effectively improve the operation of intelligentsubstation level, and broughts great social and economic benefits.
