With the continuous development of our country economic strength, and the growing awareness of the general public environmental protection, energy saving has becoming a problem that not allow to ignore. Central heating has become a irresistible trend, especially in most of the northern cities. How to make the maximum energy savings in city heating system, it is one of the main problems of centralized heat-supply system research.This paper focuses on the central heating in taiyuan city as the background.It introduces the current development of heating system at home and abroad, and briefly explains how to adjust temperature and pressure for real-time controlling by the automatic control system in the thermal station. From the perspective of energy conservation, this paper analyze the problem of the energy consumption of the heating system, and put forward the energy saving measures from three aspects:firstly, aimed at the problem of large energy consumption of the constant temperature heating, the minute change of room temperature regulating method is proposed and proved to be effective in theory, which means different heating scheme is given according to different user requirements; secondly, about the problem of operation consumption in thermal station, it put forward the design method of distributed variable frequency pump, and compared this method with the traditional scheme on the theoretical calculation; finally, aiming at the problem of heat metering reformation, it put forward several different ways of heat metering, which will strengthen the consciousness of environmental protection that heat users.Again, this paper designed the automatic control system of the heating power station based on MOX series controller, which contains both hardware part and software part in the heating power station system. At the same time, because the traditional PID algorithm in the thermal station control system can not achieve good control effect, therefore the fuzzy self-tuning PID control method was proposed, which was proved to be feasible on the application of matlab software simulation. In addition, the thermal station of upper monitor screen is designed based on the MCGS configuration software. And the network structure is proposed with the technology of VPN about the problem of communication between the heating power station and the central control center in the city.Now, TaiYuan central heating system has been runs stably, which has reached design heating requirements.
