The Application Of Storm Water Management For Urban Landscape Architectural Planning And Design

In recent times, industrialization and urbanization have caused global climate changes.More frequent recurrence of extreme precipitations and storms has threatened life andproperties. Urban runoff storm water management has therefore escalated people’sconcerns. In order to improve the ability to withstand the storm of city, the urban runoffand storm water problem solution is not only to count on urban traditional storm-sewerpiping or its composed sewers overflow measurement but is to be contingent on a soundurban green-infrastructural system conception.This study analyzes the crisis of stormwater of domestic city, expounding theincreasingly ties between the stormwater management and landscape architecture industry,emphasizing the significance and tendency of stormwater management combined withlandscape. Through collecting, generalizing and summarizing the domestic and foreignrelated research and technical specifications, this paper briefs the theories and practicesresearch progress at home and abroad. This study has included the planning and designframework of city stormwater management. Combining with previously conclusion, thisstudy has discussed the application of hydrology, land use, groundwater, soil, drainage pipein the stormwater management planning and design process. Some Principles have beenproposed. Then, this study discussed and comparative analyzed the related BMP measures.In the end, the Liu Xiang Li of Wan Hua District of Taipei as the pilot case to test theplanning and design frame work of city stormwater management.
