Coordinated control system (CCS) is an important part of the automatic controlsystem of thermal power plants. With the increasing strength of the units’capacity andthe grid load regulation performance requirements, the generator set require high-endcoordinated control system, now coordinated control system has become the core ofautomatically controlled system in modern plant.The coordinated control system (CCS) of turbine-generator unit is a rathercomplicated multi-variable control system. It makes the boiler and steam turbine as awhole to control. The main task of unit coordinated control system is to ensure thestability of the internal operating parameters and has the ability to run with changes inload, rapidly to meet the need of load variation and involved in grid frequency. Therefore,to improve the coordinated control system’s performance is a key problem in the thermalautomation.This thesis mainly analyses the current research status of coordination controlsystem as well as the practical application, This paper take the Longshan600MWthermal plant as research object, and according to the assessment indicators requirementof “Two rules”, we make thorough research to the coordinated control system. Accordingto the performance test of CCS, the control system has the problems of slow loadresponse speed and lagging load response time. After analyzing the problem, Thecoordinated control system is optimized, including the boiler main control optimization,RB control loop optimization, fuel control loop optimization and using condensatethrottling technology to improve the load response. The practical running results showthat the proposed scheme is feasible and the performance of coordinated control systemwas optimized.
