With the deepening of China’s reform of the electricity market, more and more emphasison the economic operation of hydropower stations.Under the safety and stable of the powergrid and power plants,its main task is to obtain the maximum benefit with minimum cost byformulating a reasonable plan of the unit on and off,the combination of unit and the load ischarged with each unit.In recent years,the pumped storage is thriving.The pumped storageunits play an important role in the power system,owing to they have the start and stop quicklyand bidirectional operation characteristics, as well as the special operation mode of "loadshifting", and they also provide new research topics and content for China’s economicoperation of hydropower.In this paper, aiming to share the same under reservoir of the Hongping Pumped StoragePower Station and the Xiaowan Hydropower,the principle of optimization is applied to studythe joint optimal scheduling of the Hongping Pumped Storage Power Station and the XiaowanHydropower.So we summarizes the joint optimization of scheduling rules of economicoperation,and it provides a basis for decision-making of operation scheduling of the Hongpingstorage power station and Xiaowan Hydropower Station under reservoirs.
