In recent years, gas power generation technique has made a great leap forward,“Two-on-One” gas-steam combined cycle unit has been developing rapidly, with its highefficiency, and high heating-supply capacity in the northern region of china. In "Two on One"gas steam combined cycle unit, at least three units are under control at the same time. Becauseof the much more quantity of controlled equipments, and the large capacity, and the complexcontrol system structure, and the influence and restrict between each other, the higher controland operation and management level is required.Automatic Power Plant Startup and Shutdown control system can make the equipmentsof unit operate in accordance with the program of start or stop. APS not only can simplify theoperation of operators, and reduce the occurrence of mistaken operation, but also can improvethe safety performance of unit. At the same time, it shortens the start time of the unit, andimproves the unit economic benefit. So it is necessary to carry out the research of quick start,and quick stop technology in “Two-on-One” gas-steam combined cycle unit.APS is the control center of unit automatic start and stop, In order to achieve automaticstart and stop procedure, it sends control commands to many devices and systems, Inaccordance with the program. the controlled systems include SCS, GTCS, STCS, MCS, CCS,BPC, FWP control system, ECS, and AVRS, etc.In this thesis, it takes the “Two-on-One” gas-steam combined cycle unit of HuanengBeijing Thermal Power Plant as research object, firstly carries an introduce in brief, secondlyanalyzes the consists,main functions,design principles, field testing and problems of APS.Recently, The APS control system of this “Two-on-One” gas-steam combined cycle unithas been successfully put into operation. Meanwhile, the automatic control level andoperation level are improved, and the management level is enhanced.APS control system of the gas generator at present has been successfully put intooperation, have improved the automation control level, operational level of the entire unit andimproved the management level of power plant, providing good experience for reference fordomestic gas unit popularization and application of APS.
