In railway transport, many products are frequently damaged by improper packing as wellas function failure. It is more obvious that goods are transported in the Northwest Territoriesbecause of its fierce environment. This article presents a real determined and analyzedtransportation environment, seeing the vulnerable part of product as core, deducingcalculation of protective packaging reliability. Besides, the main module of the protectivepackaging reliability evaluation system is implemented with program.This paper primarily includes the following aspects:Firstly, it describes the railway running environment in detail, performs a conclusion thatvibration in transport is the main factor influencing the quality of product packaging,discusses the features of railway transportation in northwest China, points out that the realtransportation environment is the premise to study transportation packaging reliability.Secondly,the transportation packaging reliability theory is proposed based on thevulnerability and the reliability of the calculation is derived. Take the vulnerable part and theproduct packaging as two degrees of freedom system and establish the transportationpackaging reliability system. Analysis of dynamics characteristics of transport packagingsystem and the calculation expression of the parameters is obtained,which provides the basisfor calculation and evaluation of transportation packaging reliability.Thirdly, the integrated evaluation system of transportation packaging reliability isdeveloped, besides, using C programming language to realize its main modules. The systemmainly includes the optimization evaluation of packaging design module and the protectivepackaging reliability evaluation module. According to the function choice, givingenvironmental conditions and the characteristics of the product data, it can output evaluationrating until it reaches the target reliability,also can directly output rating results of transportpackaging.This study is based on real environmental data of railway transportation, providesaccurate basis for the calculation transportation packaging reliability. Based on packagecontains parts and structural characteristics, putting forward protective packaging reliabilitytheory. It conforms with the actual products transport. Thus the system will offer valuableadvice for product package to avoid the waste or loss in goods railway transportation. It hascertain promotion and application prospects.
