Like other construction projects, highway construction has a series of characteristics withlong cycle, large investments, participation of personnel and so on. This means that during theconstruction of the highway project, there will be a lot of uncertainty risk factors. These riskfactors may affect the progress, quality, safety, cost, etc of the project. Especially in progress,whether the highway project could be completed within the stipulated time, will have a directimpact on whether the social and economic benefits can be scheduled on time.Previous scholars have been conducted in-depth analysis in many ways for the study onthe aspects of highway construction progress.but most of all is for the entire constructionproject, to analyze the factors. Based on previous studies and the current status of theconstruction, from the perspective of the constructor, this paper introduces the theory of riskmanagement of the construction progress, the establishment of the comprehensive evaluationsystem of constructor’ schedule risk analysis, and the establishment of the theoretical modelof schedule risk analysis. And select project examples to apply examples for the contentabove. Details are as follows:Firstly, introduce the related content of risk management of construction schedule, andthe identification process of construction progress risk factors of risk management wasdescribed in detail: Using three rounds of screening method, collect and collate the riskfactors of construction progress in the form of a questionnaire. And use ISM to establish thehierarchical model. Based on the hierarchical structure model obtained by the model of ISM,we can get the comprehensive evaluation index system of constructor’schedule risk analysis.Second, after getting the comprehensive evaluation index system of constructor’schedule risk analysis, use the improved AHP to determine the weights of all levels of index.and use entropy method to correct the weight of each index. Then get the final weights of alllevels index, that is the impact strength of every index on constructor’progress. This sort, youcan get the main factors affecting the constructor’s progress. Thus policymakers can taketargeted measures to avoid blind command and improve work efficiency. Then, using grayevaluation method to determine the risk level of constructor’s progress, in order that thedecision makers know what’s what.Finally, select the highway of JJTJ-4contract, Jianli to Jiangling, in Hubei province, tovalidated instance on the theoretical model of the risk analysis of constructor’s progress thatestablished above. This came to the conclusion that the theoretical model has certaintheoretical significance to the similar projects.
