The turbine governing system was one supplementary controlled system ofhydroelectric generating set to work normally. It was the precondition of turbine unitswork properly that the governor works well. These equipments were importedpreviously.Now these equipments were made in our country.800MW turbine units ofthe Jin sha river xiangjiaba hydropower station were combined to the grid inNov,2012.Sichun Angu hydropower station undertake the due obligations power generation,flood control, navigation, irrigation and water, etc. The capacity of turbines in thehydropower station was772MW,including4single capacity of190MW of axial flowkaplan hydroelectric generating set and1capacity of12MW of axial flow kaplanhydroelectric generating set.The turbine of the capacity of190MW of the axwas ofhydro-generator unit, were manufactured by Dong Fang electric machinery co.,ltd. Itwas the domestic largest single axial flow turbine in our country. The governor ofturbine were manufactured by Wuhan Changjiang control equipment researchinstitute co.,ltd.This paper introduces the design process of governor style wasWDST-200-6.3.The governor was made up by GE FC5000main control valve andB&R X20serie microcomputer regulator. The project’s first governor passacceptance inspection which indicators were up to standard.These were includedin the paper that governor mechanical hydraulic parts and hydraulic device’sselection method, governor mechanical hydraulic system schematic diagram’sdesign method, the hydraulic integrated block’s design method. Twoelectromagnetwasm proportion valves were used for governor level one hydraulicamplifier.GE FC5000main control valve were level two hydraulic amplifier.Thehydraulic device use three large flow screw pumps and two little flow screw pumps.Double redundancy design idea was applied to large governor.The applicationeffect was good.Double electromagnetism proportion valves, microcomputercontrollers,power supply systems were applied in the governor design. The governoradopts parallel adaptive variable parameters PID regulating law,which has goodcontrol quality.70%malfunctions of governor were made by oil pollution.We take measures to sovle this problem.One pressure tank provides pressure oil fordistributing valve to to prevent the turbine accidents by oil system lose pressure.Throttling technology applied in mechanical governor hydraulic system and thespecial problem solution of large governor acceptance test have a certain referencesignificance for large governor design, acceptance, installation and maintenanceoperation.
