Modern Residential Design Under The Influence Of The Traditional Regional Culture

Since the20th century, along with the increasing of the globalization process, thearchitecture of communication are also more closely in China and the world. A largenumber of architectural theory and ideological trend, architectural style in China fromall over the world take turns, especially for residential buildings. Around with nationalstyle and regional characteristic of urban style and features are disappearing, personalityand characteristics of building loss phenomenon inevitably displayed in front of us.With the traditional regional culture with the augmentation of the nationalself-confidence, cognitive level enhancement and the improvement of local architects,people began to reflect on it, more and more architects realize the great importance ofresidential design in regard to the traditional regional culture characteristics.Local-style dwelling houses building contains rich historical and cultural heritage,which is the crystallization of the wisdom of one thousand years men. However, withthe development of China’s modernization process,"invasion" of foreign architecturaldesign thoughts and modern residential design itself, which is lack of innovation anddevelopment, makes the exploration of modern architecture with Chinese characteristicsof bumpy roads, even appearing the fault,so architectural eagerly awaited that realethnic and local characteristics and the emergence of modern residence can reflect thespirit of the time. Contemporary architects should do not be simply imitate and copy,while we should be a reference for local-style dwelling houses building because of thetraditional culture and refine its cultural connotation, so that we can protect the heritageof innovation, giving the vitality of local-style dwelling houses building more, andmaking it to inject more contemporary architecture culture, so as to make the modernarchitecture in residential culture sublimation, to complete the perfect combination oftraditional and modern.As the research object of Zibo Local-style dwelling houses, by studying thetraditional region culture--QiWenHua and under the influence of modern residentialdesign for local residences in Zibo for reference, combining with the field survey ofZibo local residential case comparison and analysis, the purpose of this paper is toexplore modern residential design for traditional region culture, heritage and development of local residences. By thinking about the future development trends ofmodern residential in Zibo, this paper raises modern residential design problems in Ziboand the possibility of housing to civilians.Through exploring the traditional region culture, studing the correspondency ofZibo local-style dwelling houses and modern city residential, the traditionalarchitectural elements and modern fusion,which is in order to make up for today’s urbanresidential thousand city side, indifference, ignoring the emotional needs of the people,such as regret, improving people’s quality of living life, as well as forming theresidential building of Zibo local features to provide a new way of thinking, to a certainextent on the current residential design practice of Zibo providing some realisticguidance, in the design which provides the communication link between theory andpractice.
