There is a wide range of soft sedimentary soil with poor nature of engineering inthe developed coastal areas. The soil is with the characteristics of a large pore, highwater content, and low foundation bearing capacity. It’s necessary to reinforce themfor the reason that the soil couldn’t meet demand of engineering construction works,as it will produce great harm on it to build the port terminal. This article describes thecommonly used settlement calculation large hydraulic fill sand and soft soilsubsidence prediction methods and makes comparative analyzes and research onthem.According analysis of Humen Port Ferry Terminal integrated soft groundreclamation projects of secondary orthogonal design on four factors among soft soilthickness, filling height, depth flapper and flapper spacing, we could find that thefilling height combined with flapper spacing is the most critical factor affecting thereinforcing effect, followed by the soft soil thickness combined with depth flapperbased on the design. Therefore, we should take advantage of the geographiccharacteristic, use the manner of a large area of sand reclamation to preload, controlthe filling height and the loading rate flapper depth as well as spacing while dealingwith this kind of coastal geological soft ground.Project generalization relying on engineering test section will be described indetail the arrangement of the measuring point, measuring point buried, test dataprocessing and observation results during the test. Through on-site monitoring data, aswell as a systematic analysis of the relevant data reveals developing trends of thevertical settlement and pore water pressure distribution under the action of a large areaof sand reclamation in deep soft ground. Calculation of soft soil around the varioussoil test data, through the reinforcement of soft soil moisture to reduce, the densityincreased significantly, liquid index smaller, the pore has been reduced, thecompression modulus increased determination, etc. Humen Port, a large area of sandreclamation project preloading soft foundation treatment effect is remarkable,summarize some of the factors affecting the soft soil reinforcement effect.Analysis on ultimate settlement tendency of Shatian Port in Humen Portintegrated passenger terminal project soft ground treatment works by hyperbolicmethod, Asaoka method and the improved gray theory method in the paper. Althoughthe hyperbolic method is likely to numerous subsidence model, and measured valuesare very close. It’s not suitable for the field due to requires a lot of time. Asaokamethod predicted the worst effects, in the early error is relatively large, the end resultis larger than the actual value, and predict the effect of gray theory method is also relatively large deviation. The soft foundation settlement prediction use improveparameters by improved gray theory based on Matlab7.6proposed method square upthe coastal areas of special geological conditions. The improved gray theoryprediction methods were found to be the result is the best forecast for a large area ofcoastal reclamation sand.The soft ground settlement method can be applied toimprove the gray theory to predict...
