| With the rapid growth of the continuous expansion of the city, high-rise building isbecoming the development trend of the construction. Considering the characteristic ofthe high-rise building, it is likely to catch. It is easy to find that retrogradation,congestion, obstruction caused by panic in evacuation are the major causes oftremendous casualties. If people take calm and go outside according to the specified andorganized methods, the tremendous casualties can be reduced. So it is necessary toresearch the evacuation strategy in high-rise buildings.This paper proposes an evacuation strategy for different scenarios which is basedon summarizing the domestically and internationally relevant research results. In thestrategy, the evacuation time, the evacuation route and the emergency shelter are studied,by the method of analyzing questionnaires, field investigation, and numerical simulation.The main work and research results of this paper obtained are listed as follows:â‘ Design the high-rise building evacuation questionnaire, which is divided into3parts: the basic personnel characteristics, the familiarity of the building and ability ofevacuation. To ensure the quality of the questions, it is firstly discussed by the researchgroup, then approved by specialist of fire protection, and then distributed to the tester.What is more, the questionnaire granting, recycling and screening are all according tostrict procedures. Through the analyzing of the screen questionnaires, the resultsindicate the majority of people are familiar with the staircases, refuge floors and fireescape plan. In addition, people are highly depended on the escape plan. And thestatistics about ability of evacuation shows it is hard for people to make the judgmentwhether go outside or not. And there are some misunderstandings on choosing thesafety.â‘¡The real condition of the amount and the position of the exits are obtainedthrough the field investigation. What is more, the most dangerous place can be judgedfrom accounting the amount of people and the type of the room or zone. And thefourteen floor is selected as the typical floor to be analyzed.â‘¢An setting model of evacuation strategy was proposed. The strategy is based onthe results of questionnaires. And the fire simulation software FDS and the evacuation software Pathfinder are used to generate strategy. The different safe evacuation time, theevacuation route and safety shelter place are proposed according to the different firescenario. |
