The Intelligent Transportation System(ITS)has developed rapidly, the DynamicRoute Guidance System is an important component of ITS. It uses technologies,including computer technology, communication technology and control technology, toprovide the traveler with all kinds of transport information and the optimal route forreference, it also can help the traveler avoid the crowded road, finally, the ITS canachieve the average distribution of the whole urban road by means of the guidance ofa single.In this paper, we have done the researches from the aspects below:1) The development situation of the Intelligent Transportation System at foreignand domestic was introduced. The road network database was established, using theSQL server2008based on the research of the real traffic condition and road networkof the region nearby Tianjin station. The abstract road network was established byusing the graph theory algorithm, providing a basis for the algorithm research of thelater chapter.2) The traditional optimal path selection algorithms such as A*and Dijkstrawere introduced in detail, and the characteristics of genetic algorithm weresummarized. The three algorithms were simulated, and the conclusion was that thegenetic algorithm was better than the other two algorithms.3) The original genetic algorithm was improved, using the real number codingmethod according to the real road network condition, the genetic sequence of achromosome is what we want to search for the optimal path; A crossover controlstrategy simulating the animal breeding science was proposed, the improved crossoveroperator was adopted. It can avoid the zero crossing and protect the excellent genesequence from destruction. Finally, the improved genetic algorithm was tested on theroad network nearby Tianjin station, the advantages and disadvantages were provided.4) The whole solution for dynamic route guidance was proposed, it combinesthe improved genetic algorithm and the real time data updated to achieve the dynamicroute guidance.
