| In recent years,with the use period coming and the increase of seismic fortificationintensity,some masonry buildings’ strength have been reduced or they can’t satisfy the currentseismic code requirements.Therefore,most of the existing masonry buildings need measuresof seismic reinforcement.After the Tangshan earthquake,we began to realize the importance ofstructural seismic performance.At the same time we started the seismic identification andreinforcement of buildings throughout China.After the Wenchuan earthquake,many scholarsanalyzed the seismic damage of structures in Wenchuan earthquake.In conclusion,masonrybuildings’ failure rate is the highest.Many students and teachers lost their lives becausemasonry teaching buildings collapsed during the earthquake.People attached great importanceto the primary and secondary school buildings.Recently,the State council carried out the"million building safety engineering",in order to improve the safety of the primary andsecondary school buildings and to guarantee the lives and properties of students and teachers.After a lot of experiments of many years, we have made certain achievements inmasonry structure.On the basis of previous studies,I analyzed the vibration mode and natural frequency ofthe structure before or after the reinforcement in frequent and rare earthquake with usingANSYS.And I discussed the the maximum displacement and maximum inter-storydisplacement angle.What’s more,I summarized the seismic response of the primary andsecondary masonry buildings,the main contents are as follows:1Papering the characteristics of the existing buildings,the importance of the existingbuildings’ identification and strengthening and the topic background significance.2Analyzing the mechanical characteristics of masonry structure,listing the seismic damage and influence factors of masonry structure.3Introducing the current reinforcement methods of masonry structure and the theory andmethods of the analysis of earthquake response spectrum and time history analysis.4The finite element analysis of practical engineering,assuming no column and no ringbeam in masonry structure,using the method of "ring beam+constructional column",analyzingand comparing the seismic performance.The results shows that the method of "ring beam+constructional column" plays a goodrole in the structural reinforcement,it deserves being popularized. |
