The Research On The Interaction Design Of Handset In Outdoor Travel

With the improvement of the living standard, the requirement of the healthy quality isrising. More and more people engaged in the outdoor travel for the conventional travellingcan’t meet the demands of people, travelling in outdoor gradually becomes a new lifestylefor people who lives in cities. But we should clearly recognized that: compared withconventional tourism, travelling in outdoor has more challenges and adventures, themutability of weather, the instability of temperature, the diversity of terrain. We can usehandsets to forecast weather, navigate and have other services conveniently, but the normalhandsets can’t work well when they stay in outdoor environment for their own physicallimitation. In addition, the current outdoor devices always focus on the problems fromtechnology and material but ignore the characteristics of users, which leads in these devicescan’t satisfy the users’ expectations very well. This thesis aids to through the research aboutthe outdoor environment, the characteristics of the target users, and combining theprinciples of the mobile interface to analysis the real user demands. By analyzing thetypical scenario of the target users, to provide the feasible solutions from both softwarelevel and hardware level. Finally, points out the weakness of the research and further studyin the future, hop to give some advices for the next step related research.
