With the development of social economy and technology, tall building structuresbecome higher and more complex than ever before. These different highrise buildingsbeyond the designing and construction of the current related codes and regulations incivil engineering community of China. therefore it is necessary to research in-depthon the seismic response and structural analysis of High-rise buildings. Specifically,the dynamic characteristics of the structure as well as the structure response to windand seismic excitations play important role in the designing of highrise buildingsstructure.In this regard, structure dynamical model analysis using finite elementprogram is an important method to investigate the structure behavior to wind andseismic excitations.In this first part of this thesis,historical development of high-rise buildings,aswell as review of designing and calculation application, especially the finite elementmethod for these structures are introduce.Base on these introdution,a high-risebuilding in Wuhan is used as studying case to investigate key points of dynamicresponse analysis of structuing using response spectrum method andtime history method.1. SATWE finite element program calculated the first model of the structure is4.5150s and ETABS calculated the first model of the structure is4.5029s.In thismean,The structure dynamical model analysis using two different finite elementprograms is basically identical.2.From the storey drift curve can be seen that SATWE finite element programcalculated the maximum storey drift appeared on the34nd floor,But ETABScalculated the maximum storey drift appeared on the22nd floor.So It is necessary tobe useing two different finite element programs analysis the dynamic response of thestructure.3. Structure dynamical response analysis of using response spectrum method foundthat SATWE finite element program calculated the structure dynamic response resultsis greater than ETABS finite element program calculated the structure dynamicresponse results. So dynamic response analysis of structuing using SATWE finite element program is more conservative and safely.4. Structure dynamical response analysis results of using response spectrum method isgreater than structure dynamical response analysis results of usingtime history method. So for the highrise building structure, dynamical responseanalysis of using response spectrum method is safer and more reliable.5. To be seen from the dynamical response analysis of structuing usingtime history method that EL Centro and Taft seismic waves cannot be used forlong-period structure dynamical response of using the time history analysis.
