| Global energy crisis and environmental issues have become increasinglyprominent, so that many countries attach importance to new energy vehicles as a newdirection of the car. China has included the new energy automotive industry into"seven strategic emerging industries" too. Pure electric vehicles have significantenergy saving effect, and will be the ultimate direction of the development of newenergy automotive sector. Currently performance evaluation methods for pure electricvehicles is not mature: objective performance evaluation is most in laboratory and itcan not evaluate the performance of pure electric vehicles truly; subjective evaluationsystem which can reflect the characteristics of pure electric vehicles is not establishedtoo. It has great importance on studying the performance evaluation methods of pureelectric vehicles. The paper studies the performance evaluation method of pure electric vehiclesand universal possibilities based on "Empirical test of Toyota IQ-EV pure electricvehicles in Tianjin, China ". The test sets up a fleet of pure electric vehicles andconventional fuel vehicles, The participates uses pure electric vehicles for everydayuse when traveling, and the traditional fuel vehicles can only be used when pureelectric vehicles can not meet the needs of travelling. Collecting and analysising thedata of road driving and experience of users. Analysing the objective and subjectiveperformance indicators by road driving data and users`experience data respectivelyin order to carry out research on subjective and objective evaluation of theperformance of pure electric vehicles, analysising the possibility of the popularity ofelectric vehicles and make suggestions for China’s pure electric vehicles developmentin the future. The research shows that the fuel-saving rate of pure electric vehicles on real roaddriving can reach66%and which can reach71%under Chinese typical cities. What`smore, using pure electric vehicle fuel efficiency in workday is better than the rest.Theactual valid driving distance of EV is that users drives pure electric vehicles withoutconcerns about low battery and it is between60~65km, which can cover daily travelrange of urban residents. Average speed, ambient temperature and using of air condit- -oning impact the electricity consumption of pure electric vehicles greatly. When theaverage speed or ambient temperature is very low or very high, electric powerconsumption of EV will be significantly increased, and this situation is more obviousin the open air. By subjective survey it shows that the limits of the popularity ofelectric vehicles currently can be summarized as charging infrastructure constraints, charge limit, mileage restrictions and price restrictions.Pure electric vehicles shouldtherefore be targeted at short-distance travel of transport, and explore new electricvehicle commercialization model. It should also improve the policy framework forthe development of electric vehicles, and focus on the development of the charginginfrastructure. |
