| Main design parameters about strength calculation and meshing performance ofthe involute gear pair with small number of teeth are studied for improving thestrength and meshing performance. The tooth profile design research is carried out toimprove the strength of the gear transmission, which get the optimization design andcalculation method about choosing involute gear modification coefficient. Put forwarda kind of tooth profile curve that is applicable to gear pair with small number of teeth.The following work and contributions have been made. The equation of the toothprofile in the end is established. The main design parameters of tooth profile areanalyzed, which affect the transmission meshing performance. The bending strengthof gear pair was studied. The dangerous section and a method for determining thebiggest bending stress are deduced. The contact stress of gears is analysed, which getthe calculation point and its calculation formula of the maximum contact stress. Basedon the conditions of equal bending strength, avoiding root cutting and meshingcondition of no tolerance, the involute gear pair is studied. Calculation method of theoptimization design of radial and tangential displacement coefficient is got. By theway, modification coefficients of gears with less than6teeth are got. Using theinvolute forming principle, put forward a kind of applicable tooth profile curve, whichis called variable involute and has been studied preliminary.This article research results has certain reference value to the design theory andthe practical application promotion, which also promote the design of the new type oftooth profile of gear pair with small number of teeth. |
