The coal consumption of coal-fired power plant is large, coal prices willdirectly affect the plant operating costs. With the shortage of coal market supplies,many power plants which burned anthracite coal unavoidably blend with softcoal.However, this kind of blending combustion is not only limited in number, and itwill affect the boiler safety and economical efficiency. Therefore, developingtechnology to make boiler have pure burning high volatile bituminous coal andensuring burning boiler safety, economic efficiency and its stable operation afterchanging is of great significance to broaden the power fountainhead,relieve the strainon coal, and improve the power plant to the comprehensive competition ability.Then, in the validation of transformation safety, cost feasibility and schedulefeasibility of the project, this paper coal revealed the strong coupling characteristic ofthe coal-pulverizing system-boiler system and put forward the transformationtechnology and the optimization scheme for the boiler system and pulverizing system,by combining theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and optimization testtogether.Moreover, a comprehensive technology, environment, safety and economyevaluation method based on the analytic hierarchy process (AHP)was carried out tocomprehensive assess the project. What’s more, comparing to other projectsthroughout the country to promote the technology and application was prospected.Finally, optimize the modified boiler components analysis, the combustionadjustment test of the application of optimization of boiler operation, truly realizeburning coal boiler safe, stable and economic operation. Analysis the transformationcost and time limit, make the project schedule adjustment system diagram, reduce theprogress deviation, complete installation high quality some units evenreconstruction task ahead of schedule, and Internet generation. At the same time, it’sexpected to cost decreased by3220thousand yuan according to the scientific andreasonable cost control. The successful application and commercial operation of transforming fromanthracite coal to high volatile bituminous coal technology in the power station boilerproduced good economic benefit and social benefit. This technology filled theanthracite boiler burning high volatile bituminous coal technology gaps of Chinesepower plants and promoted the development of theory and method to burn coal.Besides, the project has very important theoretical and practical significance onimproving the security and economy of the power plant operation.
