With the development of district heating systems, the energy consumption ofheat network gets more and more attention by people. Although the size of districtheating systems has increased in recent years, the management level of heatingcompany has been improved, the energy waste phenomenon is still serious. Themain reason is that the price system of coal and electricity is irrational which makethe enterprises in the―energy saved but money is not festival‖position. Theinitiative of the heating company taking measures to saving energy is combated.Meanwhile the traditional way of calculating and analyzing heating energy is notstrict in theory. Assessment of economic effect by energy saving will causecontroversy. In this paper, with the distributed pump program of a certain districtheating heating system in Harbin for engineering example, the relationship betweenenergy saving ratio of district heating system and the location of zero pressure pointwas discussed, and the economic of the system was calculated in order to directactual designment and application.Firstly, the transportation energy consumption of traditional district heatingsystem was compared with two different types of distributed pump heating system, and then the energy saving ratio calculation method was obtained.Secondly,37programs were proposed according to the pressure differencebetween heat source and zero pressure point. The variation curve of energy savingrate and the numbers of pump stations with pressure head of circulation pump wasstudied. The feasibility of37programs was qualitatively analyzed with the curve, and the option area of program was decided.Finanlly, the economy calculation model of distributed pump heating systemwas established, the system initial cost, operation cost was analysed, and thensystem annual conversion cost was obtained. The economy of the program wascalculated according to the eastablished model, each program’s initial cost, operation cost and annual conversion cost were calculated, then the optimal schemewas selected. The work done by this paper would supply experience for similarcases in future.
