As the offshore oil exploration is moving into deepwater, the method of large-tonnage,long-span jacket platform construction is increasingly developed, float-over is required forinstallation of jacket platform more than ten thousand tons. Before shipping, superstructure istransferred into loading frame DSF as a whole; however, because of large-tonnage, long spanof the module, the transferring procedure therefore becomes the key point and the difficulty ofoilfield construction, the corresponding research is of significance. In order to resolve the jacking and lowering of large structure unit, this paper starts withthe selection of weight transferring plan, making comparison of various plan, demonstratesthe feasibility of jacking plan, then defines the originally designed weight transferringequipment, the COOEC(Qingdao)’s comprehensive scientific study “Research of moduleweight transferring practices in Liwan project”.The modules of Liwan project is weighed using the existing WS40000weighting systemand controlled simultaneously by hydraulic jacks, upper structures are supported by originallydesigned jacking equipment. The determination of basic design for the equipment is detailedin this paper, following with strength analysis using ANSYS FEM software, thus leading tothe determination of detailed design plan for the equipment. Then, details in weighttransferring plan are conducted with corresponding check, which fully proving the technicalfeasibility of construction in weight transferring plan of Liwan project. Finally, the research of weight transferring procedure and relevant works is carried out,On-site construction technology of weight transfer project is an important part in weighttransfer technology, including the whole process, equipment installation and commissioning, construction procedure, and risk control of weight transferring, etc.
