With the development of social economy, people more and more to the requirement of building function and architectural image diversity are required, which makes the structure more and more irregular, and results in structure becoming more and more complicated. At the same time, structural analysis methods and means are continuous development and progress, reasonable design thought and method for this kind of irregular structure is a problem concerned by engineers. Combined with a typical practical case, in this paper some kinds of finite element software are used to establish analysis model, structure design in detail to analysis the emphases and difficulties problems in concern.The project is a reinforced concrete frame structure high-rise building, 6 on the ground floor and 3 floors underground. The fifth storey is a transfer layer; the fourth storey planar horizontal length of 6.5 meters structure has a big opening, with some large cantilever beams around the opening. According to the structure characteristics of the project, in order to make the structure can meet the requirements of specification, the whole structure and local optimization calculation are carried out. The main research works are following:1). Based on the calculation results and discussions of cantilever beams layout in different plane using PKPM-SATWE calculation, the more reasonable structure layout form is selected.2). Stress analysis of large openings storey is carried out by using ETABS, large area of the storey is strengthened to ensure the safety.3). Calculation and analysis of the whole structure by SAP2000, considering the different construction process, to make the stress and from the stiffness of the transfer storey structure is different construction stage are analyzed and stress mechanism analysis of the stress characteristics is discussed, to finding out the rational analysis method.4). According to elastic-plastic static analysis and dynamic elastic-plastic time history analysis results by using MIDAS BUILDING under moderate earthquake and strong earthquake, the weak parts of structure is strengthened, and the overall structure of the program is optimized.Research shows that in moderate the earthquake, cracks would occur in the floor at the storey with large opening and the transfer storey the length of the reinforcement arranged in the floor should be increased transfer storey and the upper storey should be consider as a construction period in construction simulation analysis, transfer beam should be designed according to a eccentric tensile component, it is should be paid attention to that the detachable mould of transfer storey structure could be done only if the concrete strength reaches its design strength. The structure can realize the goal of seismic performance in the flame to fail, but a small percentage of frame columns may be bending yield, the reinforcement of the column should be appropriate.
