Since our country initiated to design high-rise buildings on its own in1950s, the development of this type of structures has boosted from then on.Due to the prosperity of real estate industry, high-rise flats are making alarger proportion of high-rise buildings. At the same time, research onhigh-rise flat system is continuously developed. Shear wall structure systemis particularly common in high-rise flats. Since the state’s regulation onconstruction performance such as energy efficiency is becoming stricter,study concerning construction performance is drawing researchers’increasing attention. This paper is devoted to the optimization of shear wallstructure systems, aiming to provide practical guidance and support to theimprovement of flat structure systems. Fuzzy-AHP method is employedduring the optimization procedure, where the rationality, energy efficiencyand economic efficiency are considered as the main elements. Analytichierarchy model of shear wall structure system optimization is subsequentlyconstructed, which is utilized to obtain the judgment matrix. On the basis ofscores according to expert evaluation method, alternative cases are fuzzilyevaluated to find the optimal solution. This paper utilizes practical cases tocarry out a comprehensive analysis of how this method is applied in shearwall structure system optimization procedure. In the reference case, theobtained optimal solution is the reinforced block masonry shear wallstructure. Finally, this paper analyzes the section of the reinforced blockmasonry shear wall structure with the genetic algorithm. In this paper, thelowest cost is obtained by optimizing its reinforcement,material style andsize. It can help designers to study the sectional optimization of the reinforced block masonry shear wall structure. According to the work in thispaper, the two methods can be considered both feasible and practical in theoptimal analysis of shear wall structure systems. This paper is of great valuefor the optimization of shear wall structure systems.
