| With the rapid development of our country’s economy and urban modernization, more and more people are pouring into cities, which leads to huge growth of the traffic demand. Although the government pays a lot into the traffic infrastructure construction, it still lags behind the growth of traffic demand. A series of urban problems such as traffic congestion, traffic accidents, environmental pollution, economic loss, etc. also restrict the healthy development of the city and bring so much trouble to people’s daily life. And the solution of the urban traffic problems has become a focus of urban development.Recently, the Intelligent Transportation System(ITS) has been used to control the traffic flow and the induction at home and abroad, which helps to ease traffic congestion and provide a smooth and orderly traffic environment. The ITS has been one of the important means of solving the traffic problems in many countries.The purpose of this paper : Through the analysis of urban traffic problems and comparison of the means to solve the traffic problems by ITS, storage, query, and analyses the transportation data by the technology of “3Sâ€. Using geographic information system(GIS) in traffic data collection, management, operation, and its analysis; Using the global positioning system(GPS) to run the vehicle accurately three-dimensional positioning; And assisted by remote sensing(RS), then form an integral part of the intelligent transportation system(ITS).Considering Beijing traffic as the research object, this paper mainly analysis the Beijing traffic construction problems, the 3S technology plays a role in solving the problem of Beijing traffic, it is concluded that the use of 3S technology in can alleviate traffic problems now. At the same time, the results of the study of road traffic construction in other cities in China have certain reference function. |
