R&D Of Dam Safety Monitoring System Based On ZigBee And GPRS Technology

In the existing dam safety monitoring system, monitoring sites and monitoring center is connected via cable or fiber optic cable and other media, the cable laying is a complicated project, and the monitoring point installation, adjustment, expansion, also is not easy. This thesis developed a dam safety monitoring system based on ZigBee and GPRS technology. This system can not only provide greater flexibility, mobility, reduce the expense and effort spent on cabling, but also realize statistical sampling, data integration, query-type monitor integration by using adaptive networking, wireless communications and distributed collaboration technology. In this thesis, the ZigBee wireless sensor network and GPRS technology have been in depth research, and the dam safety monitoring system based on ZigBee and GPRS technology has been developed. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:First, introduce research status at home and broad on dam safety monitoring, and introduce development status on ZigBee and GPRS technology.Second, analyze the function of dam safety monitoring system, and set up the overall design plan of dam safety monitoring system.Third, consider the functional requirements of dam safety monitoring system, select proper hardware types for the sub-module of dam safety monitoring system, and draw the sub-module hardware circuit diagram.Fourth, design and implement dam safety monitoring system software, including PC software and lower computer software, and test the dam safety monitoring system communication function and performance.At the end of this thesis, the main research is summarized. It makes out the main research results, and also the problems which need to further research.
