Industrial Parks’ Urbanizing Transition Research On The Perspective Of Space Production

Since the reform and opening up, China’s’gradual’transition effected by the inside and outside circumstances has caused profound changes in politics, economic, society and other aspects. On the one hand, the in-depth market-oriented reforms in the areas of land, housing and other areas has expanded the investment range of market capital, as result, space becomes an important investment object; on the other hand, China’s local governments have gradually transformed into more entrepreneurial subjects, aiming at maximizing economic and political interests. In this context, China’s urban space is undergoing dramatic reconstruction, an important aspect of which is the space transition from industrial parks into new city.The paper introduces the perspective of production space to analyze industrial parks’built and space transition. Then the paper analyzes the mechanisms and effects of the industrial park space reproduction, taking Wuxi New District’s transition as example. In the end, the paper proposes some suggestions for industrial park space transition. In conclusion:(1) Industrial parks’built and space transition are space production of capital and power in certain periods. Industrial parks’built is the result of globalizing space production of capital in the context of China’s reform and opening-up. And Industrial parks’urbanizing transition is space reproduction of power and capital in China’s transformation period.(2)In the industrial park space reproduction process, local governments take the role of promoter, dominating the entire space reproduction process.The former producers are passive subjects and the foreign enterprises are "speculators" which always obtain the biggest benefits of space reproduction. (3) Industrial parks’space reproduction has caused effects mainly in three aspects:① Spatial effects:space shifts from production-oriented to service-oriented. ② Social effects:social structure shifts from single to multi and urban residential space shifts from even to differentiated.③ Economic effects:industrial structure upgrades and added income of spatial value is distributed unbalanced.The present article section is arranged as follows:The first chapter, introduction.
