Study On The Whole Process Management Of Construction Project Cost

In the management of construction project, it has become the key issues on how to effectively control the project cost, and utilize limited funds to create more and higher efficiency.In this thesis, based on the cost management theory of engineering project, and utilizing concrete construction project as a case study, we analyzed the cost management during the whole construction process, to reveal the major factors that affected the project cost in the stages of investment decision-making, design, bidding and construction, respectively, and in the meantime, analyzed the characteristics and key steps of cost control during different stages. Based on the circumstances of real project and theoretical analysis, this thesis presented that project cost management must abide by the whole process management, only in this way can we achieve effective cost reduction. Meanwhile, during various project construction stages, the key point to control the project cost lies in the construction stage. Due to the differences in organizing design during the construction stage, engineering process changes, claims, and engineering measurement method, as well as the existence of various unpredictable factors in the implementation of the project, the cost management becomes more difficult in the construction stage, which has been analyzed emphatically in this thesis. Through theoretical and case studies on the project construction cost, we put forward some constructive suggestions and concrete implementation methods to systematically control the engineering cost, which provide pivotal clues to the cost management of similar construction projects.
