Dynamic Coupling Research Between Urbanization Development And Water Resources System In Zhangye City

Water Resource plays an important role on the development of regional urbanization and it is also a material guarantee condition in urbanization during Implementing West Development Strategy. Zhangye City is located in inland arid region, the contradiction between the urbanization and water resource appears gradually with the rapid development of urbanization and much more water will be needed in recent years. Therefore, it is a very important significance to research and analysis coupling relationship between urbanization and water resource taking Zhangye City as an example.By using multidisciplinary theory and adopting the combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, this paper analyze the current status between urbanization and water resources based on the theory of predecessors’research in Zhangye City, establishing a comprehensive evaluation index system by using SPSS statistical analysis, using coupled model of the System dynamics theory, the author Calculates coupling degrees between urbanization and water resource during 2001-2012, and then discusses the dynamic coupling evolution trend.Through the analysis, we can get to know that urbanization development and water resources system is in the coordinated development stage in Zhangye City, contradictions are emerging and coupling degrees are on the rise.Through further forecast, the whole system will enter the ultimate development and the contradiction between the urbanization and water resource will be more worse however in future. the relationship between urbanization and water resource will be in the run-in and eventually reaches the coordinate coexistence state in Zhangye City,along with the structural adjustment of urban water urban water and the implementation of the relevant government diversion policy, city people’s saving water consciousness’improvement.Therefore, only comprehensive understanding correctly the dynamic coupling relationship between the urbanization development and water resources system and its evolvement trend, we can promote the rational development and utilization of water resources, protect the ecological restoration and push on the whole system maintaining natural developing status. At the same time there is an important significance for further exploration research in healthy development mode of urbanization in arid regions of northwest urbanization under the condition of water resource shortage.
