As part of the natural resources Water resources play important role in promotingthe development of urbanization, but also the process of urbanization in securityconditions. Southern border regions along the railway Center City all belong to the cityof arid regions, from the1980s, with the rapid economic development and the increasein population, water supply and demand have become increasingly prominent in areasalong the center of the city in the Southern Xinjiang Railway, water shortage hasbeenbecome the constraints of the city’s economic development in Xinjiang.Departure from the water lack urbanization present characteristics of water useand urbanization of the areas along the central city of the Southern Xinjiang Railwayfeasible countermeasures for urban development process in the future, given thedevelopment of water, guide urban healthsequence development, focus on acombination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, the research theoreticalresearch, three aspects of the strength of research and Countermeasures combinationstudy areas along the central city of the Southern Xinjiang Railway urbanization andwater resources.First of all, the theoretical analysis of the relationship between the Retrospect andProspect of research at home and abroad through urbanization and water relations,urbanization and water, established the theoretical basis of the urbanization processWater Resources Research.Followed by an overview of the Southern Xinjiang Railway regions along thecenter of the city, the spatial and temporal evaluation of water resources and waterresources development and utilization of three aspects of the analysis, the overallurbanization development and water resources of the central city of the southern borderregions along the railwayconditions have a preliminary understanding.Third, the establishment of urbanization and water resources index system, the useof statistical software for data analysis and draw along the Southern Xinjiang Railway central city urbanization coefficient and water resources utilization coefficient, in orderto reflect the development of urbanizationuse of water resources situation. Instance, sixcentral cities in southern Xinjiang is selected for the study, based on2001-2011statistics, from water resources to the effects of urbanization, the coupling relationshipbetween urbanization level and total water resources per capita water level the couplingrelationship with the level of urbanization, the process of urbanization and waterresources utilization coupling relationship between the four aspects of the relationshipbetween water resources and urbanization quantitative analysis.Finally, on the basis of theoretical research and case studies undertaken a strategicreview, according to the southern cities of urbanization and water resourcesdevelopment type, and considering the current situation and problems of waterresources of cities and urbanization, the coordination between urbanization andwaterdevelopment model, and then the different areas must be adapted to localconditions, scientific urbanization and coordinated development of water resources tothe implementation of the regulation and control measures according to the actualsituation. To prevent the generation of new environmental problems in the process ofurbanization, protection to improve urban water environment, promote urbanization andwater resources and environmental development, and ultimately to achieve thesustainable development of cities.
