Urban rail transit is an important part of urban public transport system, and it has become a major urban passenger transport arteries because of its many advantages. Now, with the economy developing rapidly, cultural and sports activities are held more frequently in the cities, which will inevitably cause a outbreak of sudden large passenger flow, so urban rail transit will face enormous transportation challenges. Meanwhile, with the extension and encryption of rail lines, urban rail transit tends to network operation. The dissipation process of large passenger flow changes from simple single line evacuation to complex network evacuation. This article analyses a series of problems related to the spread of sudden large passenger flow in urban rail transit. It defines the concept of sudden large passenger flow, describes its formatting process, and analyzes the features of urban rail transit networking. Then it comes up with a conclusion that urban rail transit networking is a both Small World network and Scale-free network. By qualitative and quantitative methods, it analyzes the propagation and attenuation processes of large passenger flow in the macro transit network. The speed of large passenger flow attenuation is related to the imbalance of time and space. The process can be described as convex-decay or spurt-decay.From the microscopic point of view, it respectively studies the propagation processes of generating stations, transfer stations and the intermediate stations from microscopic. When the platform capacity is less than the num of waiting passengers, the service level of three types stations will be lower, which may lead to a multi-stage tandem queuing system and outbound queuing system phenomenon. The occurrence of train arrival delays or departure delays will prolong residence time in stations, which directly affect transport capacity. From the view of marshalling scheme, train plan, train routing scheme, angle stop programs, it outlines the station transportation organization optimization method, and analyses suitability of the large passenger flow organization optimization. Meanwhile, to study the pitted passengers controlling measures outside the stations, it discusses both closed generating stations method and limited flow in front stations method.Closed generating stations method achieves the spatial and temporal segmentation of sudden large passenger flow, and flow limited in front stations method increase passenger capacity of trains, which reduces the time of large passenger evacuation cycle.Lastly, it establishes SIRS model with direct immunization, and the model parameters are calibrated with given capacity, large passenger demand capacity, large passenger reduced capacity and improved ability. The num of stations with large passenger flow is simulated with MATLAB software, which can reflect the influence of the initial generating stations number and passenger transport capacity, and analyzes the reasons for the changes.
