CVT with a wide range of speed ratio change, running smooth, comfortable, longitudinal impact and jitter not in car start during the process of acceleration and deceleration, through continuous stepless regulation of transmission ratio, can make the engine to the car any working conditions is always along the best fuel economy curve or the best work, when the car to work in the best working point means the car of mixed gas consumption is one of the most fully, reached the fuel saving, easy operation and reduce the emission of pollution. In addition, the car with CVT can keep power in the process of uninterrupted, reduces the traffic impact, make full use of the vehicle engine, as a result, the vehicle’s dynamic performance will be greatly improved.This article is the national natural science fund project "Electric-Mechanical CVT plug-in hybrid system integrated control study" part of the(project number: 51275549). This article all work closely around the CVT project to expand, the research and development for the x CVT control system. This article studied the general structure of CVT, selection of controller, with Simulink software for tools such as, MotoHawk MotoTune using graphical programming control system for the development and calibration, and the late vehicle debugging.In this paper, the main research work is as follows:(1) on the basis of the project background, CVT structure of control system, studies the transmission and transmission principle. At the same time to Electric-Mechanical CVT speed ratio control and the control strategy to control the clutch further detailed analysis.(2) Electric-Mechanical CVT overall structure design. According to the requirement of the ECU model, the interface for distribution.(3) by Simulink, MotoTune and MotoHawk software for development tools for graphical programming control system. Completed the electrical control software design of the control system of CVT. Including the input and output, secondary logic control, such as main logic control, data calibration module design.(4) by roads test, combined with the actual problems to improve the program, make Electric-Mechanical CVT realize the expected function.Finally, the work of this paper is summarized and prospected.
