As a kind of important optical instrument, the spectrometer is required to have the characteristic of high resolution of wavelength and large measurement range. However, with the development of society and the progress of science and technology, in many application fields, such as food and drug safety, environmental monitoring, the people are more concerned about the low cost and portability of the spectrometer. Therefore, the miniaturization of the spectrometer has become one of the main development directions.In this paper, around the wavelength calibration, noise processing and dynamic range, the spectral acquisition software has been designed based on the STS module.Firstly, on the basis of understanding the working principle and communication protocol of STS module, in the Visual C++ 6.0 integrated development environment, the spectrum measurement software has been developed whose function includes:operating parameter setting, spectrum acquisition, the raw spectral data and curves’s displaying and storing.Secondly,a series of processing was done according to the characteristics of STS raw spectral data were collected. In the aspect of wavelength calibration:the software establishes the pixel of ELIS-1024 sensor correspondence with the wavelength by obtaining the STS built-in parameter, thus meet the demand of setting the measurement range of wavelength; In noise processing:with different sensor integration time, the mean and variance of the background noise are calculated out, and then the actual value is equal to the measurement data subtract the mean value, and the variance value represents measurement error; In dynamic range adjustment:by selecting the appropriate sensor integration time parameters to accommodate different measured signal power.Finally, each function of the software has been tested,. The experiments show that the software has the feature of simple interface and easy operation,which is successfully met the expected design requirements.
