High-speed wire rod baler is a kind of special mechanical equipment used for steel packing, which integrates mechanical, electrical and hydraulic control. The device can tie up scattered volume wires, and this not only prevents the steel mixed number and makes the packaging beautiful, but also is convenient to transport and store. High-speed wire rod baler can greatly improve efficiency and competitiveness of the product.Wire feeding system is one of the key components of high-speed wire rod baler, whether it can successfully deliver lines will affect high-speed wire rod baler can or not work normally. This dissertation employs the virtual prototype simulation technique to study, the wire feeding system, and analyzes the effectiveness of simulation results. This has a certain guiding significance for the actual production. The main works of this paper are as follows:Dynamic contact emulation analysis of the wire feeding mechanism. In this paper, the simplified model of wire feeding mechanism dynamic contact emulation analysis is operated with ANSYS/LS-DYNA software. Through analysis, we can get the maximum pressing force of the pressure line roller exerting on the bundle line and corresponding the best center distance of the pressure line roller and the drive wheel. Then this dissertation further analyzes the pressing force at different bundle line speeds under the best center distance, proves the correctness of the pressing force by means of ADAMS software and calculates the maximum feeding wire force and pulling wire force at different line speeds.The maximum load calculation of the wire feeding mechanism hydraulic cylinder. This dissertation analyzes the kinematics simulation of wire feeding mechanism with ADAMS software to get the space position of the eccentric shaft and the hydraulic cylinder under the best center distance of the pressure line roller and the drive wheel. Through the space position of the eccentric shaft and the hydraulic cylinder, the reaction on the pressure line roller and relevant knowledge of theoretical mechanics, the maximum load of the hydraulic cylinder can be obtained.The co-simulation research on the wire feeding system. Firstly, this paper designs the hydraulic circuit of the wire feeding system based on its function, while the parameters of the hydraulic circuit is calculated according to the analysis results having been obtained and the hydraulic components used in the wire feeding system are determined. Secondly, the simulation models of the electromagnetic proportional valve and the wire feeding system are established in AMESim, and the control model is established in Simulink. Finally, the co-simulation of the wire feeding system is implemented, which makes the working process in simulation more realistic and further verifies the correctness of the hvdraulic circuit.Research on the control system of the wire feeding system. The dissertation mainly focuses on hardware and software research. In terms of hardware, PROFIBUS-DP network acts as the fieldbus communication network of the control system of high-speed wire rod baler, and SIEMENS CPU315-2DP and ET200M are selected as the master and slave stations respectively, and then the hardware configuration of the control system of high-speed wire rod baler is completed. In terms of software, the wire feeding system control flow chart is designed, and its control program is written by SIEMENS STEP 7, then the correctness of the control program is verified by PLCSM.
