The wire feeding system is one of the most important sub-systems in laser green remanufacturing engineering. The stability of the wire feeding system is the key factor, which determined the high quality of coatings. This article researched the special wire feeding system of laser green remanufacturing, which powerfully supported the theory, technology development and popularization of this technology.Through analyzing the features of wire feeder during welding and spraying process, by using mechanism and cybernetics theories, the design of mechanical and control system was conducted for the laser green remanufacturing wire feeding system. This paper analyzed the influencing factors of feeding stability, established a drag model to study the feeding stability. At the same time, the closed loop control system was researched and realized in relation to feeding rate, laser power and molten pool's temperature.Based upon the original and developed experimental platform, the wire feeding technology matched the wire feeding system was investigated. The results were as follows:(1)When the other parameters was constant, the forming quality of remanufacturing layer was the best with the feeding rate of 33% more than laser scanning rate. (2)The variation of feeding rate created little influence to the width of remanufacturing layer.(3) The feeding rate was in direct proportion to the forming thickness of remanufacturing layer.(4)When the angle of wire feeding rate and laser scanning rate was 35°on the same plate, it could get the best forming surface.(5)A mathematic model was created about the relation of the physical dimension and wire feeding rate when multiprocessing and multi-layer overlapping was executed. At last, the wire feeding system was applied to the laser remanufacturing on simple revolving body parts, plat surface, cylindrical surface and spheric surface, which confirmed the practicability and reliability of this system.
