Study On Protection And Renewal Of Traditional Villages Under The Background Of New Urbanization

The traditional village is the representation of the traditio nal culture, architecture and structure. Additionally, it is also the essential resource of farmer‘s life, the social capital of the country, the foundation and the soul of Chinese culture. In the process of urbanization, the rate of disappearance of traditional villages is shocking and the conditions of protection and renewal are uneven. As the proposed of new urbanization strategy is presented, how to protect and renew the traditional villages and how to protect the interests of farmers have increasingly become the focuses of attention for the public.This article is going to review the status of the protection and renewal of domestic and foreign villages and summarized the related theories and experiences of that, starting with urgency of the protection and renewal of traditional villages. Secondly, based on connotation of new urbanization and the requirements of development, it will state the contradiction and unity between the new urbanization and the protection and development of traditional villages, and also explore the strategies of the protection and development of traditional villages. Thirdly, it will illustrate the system of cognition and security from the aspects of people, nature, the living environment, spiritual culture and so forth based on new urbanization. Then, based on the example of the protection and renewal of the village –Southern Wenzi in Laiwu, the article will promote the new and appropriate method that how to enhance the ?popularity‘, strength the ?body‘ of the village, develop the ?soul‘, improve the ?security‘ based on the condition of that village. In the conclusion, the article will state the combination of researches based on those aspects and point out the insufficiency on that. Meanwhile, it also looks to the future of the s ustainable development of the traditional villages based on the new urbanization.
