With the development of technology,conflicts between the more and more powerful and complex of HMI(human machine interface) and convenient, simple and efficient values of people are strengthened day by day, which are great blows for the users’ interest, and hinder the development of the products. The good design of HMI can reduce degree of users’ using difficulty and the degree of psychological pressure; in addition improve the practicability and availability of products. Thesis mainly contains as follows:Firstly, the evaluation methods of HMI are researched and the advantages and disadvantages of the methods are described through collecting the relative literatures,then a combined means of usability test and EEG(electroencephalography) is proposed.Secondly, the index system for electric cookers ergonomics evaluation is built and the weight factors of the evaluation indexes are determined. On the basis of systematical, in-depth analysis and integration the correlated information such as standards, norms and technical productions both in domestic and abroad, the index system for electric cookers ergonomics evaluation is built which makes the present research production more systematically and organizationally.The G1 method is adopted to determine the weight factors of the evaluation indexes. With the aid of this method, some experts are investigated about all indexes in the system.The weight factors of indexes are calculated according to the investigation results of 20 experts. Then, the weight factors based on different numbers of experts are analyzed in order to study their reliability. The analysis results indicate the weight factors be stable when the expert number up to some threshold value, therefore, the calculation method is reliable and the calculation results are scientific.Therefore the weight factors of the evaluation indexes calculated according to the investigation results can be as the guidance to the design of the HMI of electric cookers.Lastly,this study uses a combined means of ergonomics test and EEG to evaluate three electric cookers,which we have chosen. Consequently, ergonomics problems of electric cooker display interface are discovered and proposals for improvement are presented.
