Cultural arts center is an important form of cultural-architect, which is a comprehensive cultural establishment. Taishan cultural arts center, located foot of AolaiFeng in the center of new area of Taian., has consummated the city functions and improved the cultural quality. Besides the main building, we must turn the outside environment to advantage to.make it a open space with multi-level, multi-factor, and complex functions.Based on studing the conception, features and design methods of external space environment, the paper has designed the outside environment of Taishan cultural arts center. The design take "Flying freely with the earth" as the theme and based on the principle of respect geographical characteristics and cultural. The function division, the main landscape nodes, the pavement, the landscape and the rigid pavement have been designed using methods of modern ecological landscaping and the important landscape nodes were described in detail, in order to seeking functional composite, mutual permeation and spatio-temporal continuity and to highlighting the regional culture.
