This paper mainly represents the research of the press-fitting control of the engine press-fitting equipment. The main technologies of the engine press-fitting are analysed, and the present situation of the engine press-fitting between home and abroad is compared, and the servo electric cylinder is applied to the actuator of the engine press-fitting equipment instead of hydraulic actuating cylinder to make up deficiency of the domestic press-fitting equipment. The application of fieldbus, control algorithm and control software are mainly reseached. According to the developing trend of fieldbus and the comparison between field buses, the real-time industrial ethernet-EtherCAT is choosen. After analysing the pressure, velocity and displacement model, fuzzy-PID algorithm is applied.In this research, EtherCAT is applied. Of the present fieldbuses, EtherCAT has many advantages in performance, data transmission speed and robustness. The application of EtherCAT can improve the product quality and production efficiency, and cut down the production cost.This paper introduces the principles and advantages of EtherCAT, and introduce the EtherCAT I/O modules.The control algorithm based on is studied.This paper gives two closed-loop ways:velocity closed-loop control and velocity-pressure closed-loop control,then gives two control ways:window control and ideal curve control,and at last proposes two fuzzy-PID control algorithms which are simulated, analysed and compared.Finally both of the two fuzzy-PID control algorithms are programed into software to meet different requirements for different parts.At the last of this paper,the control software based on the engine press-fitting equipment.The operating environment and development environment are described,and the twinCAT configuration software is introduced,and the R3IO API included correlation function and usage method is introduced.Meanwhile some experiments are conducted to test EtherCAT I/O module,and it is achieved that the data is transmited between control software and EtherCAT I/O module.The main functions of the software are introduced,and some experiments are done to test the software.
