Since the 21 st century, with the rising of urbanization rate and the rapid development of social economy, urban car ownership increased year by year, the contradiction between supply and demand of urban road traffic to swell, at the same time, causing a series of traffic problems, Seriously affect the safety and operational efficiency of urban road traffic. Especially in the mountain cities, Because of restricted by natural conditions, the mountainous city road network reliability is low, the increase of car ownership on the impact of urban road traffic is bigger, more easy to cause traffic incident and congestion. Therefore, in order to alleviate the city traffic congestion, improve the quality of city traffic, the road traffic state as traffic guidance and traffic control based, accurate identification of road traffic conditions is very important.Urban road network consists of roads and intersections, this paper taking the mountainous city road traffic state identification as the research object, research on the discriminant Mountainous City Road and road intersection real-time traffic state. Traffic state of road and road intersection are reflect the overall quality of city travel. This paper selects the discriminant model for identification of traffic state of road traffic state based on fuzzy functions. The main research work is as follows: first, acquisition and pre-processing the traffic data of mountainous city road and road intersectiontraffic flow,and analysis of the characteristic parameters of Mountain City Road Traffic, to provide theoretical support and data base for the discrimination of mountainous city road traffic state. Secondly, To find out the deficiencies of the prior discrimination method, combined with the characteristics of mountainous city road traffic, select the discriminant index constructing judgment standard system of traffic state, based on detailed analysis and summary of the relevant research results on city road traffic state; According to the characteristics of traffic state data of mountainous city roads and road intersections, applicate an integrated value of traffic congestion on the traffic state identification method research, build road traffic state identification model based on fuzzy function, and introducing the theory of Relief algorithm to analysis of characteristics of the weight of each index in the traffic parameters, which in clustering. Then to determine the optimal classification of road traffic state of mountain city. Through actual case to verify the discriminant method and discriminant model effectiveness, The validation process and the results show that the results of discriminant model is relatively accurate and reliable.Above all the research, this paper propose a method suitable for mountainous city road traffic state identification, the intelligent transportation is an effective means to solve urban traffic problems. This study will be on this basis, applied the theory of road traffic state identification to the city traffic management and control. But the method and discriminant model are just in the theoretical research stage, to further test the discriminant model and discriminant improvement are need practical application in city road network, through the practice to discover and improvement, to make it more fit to the mountainous city road traffic management and control, in order to get more extensive application.
