Axial piston pump is the component of construction machine and the source of the whole hydraulic system, which largely determines the performance of the whole system. The axial piston pump study is developed late in our country resulting in our product are poorer than foreign country. Our construction equipment manufacturers could only import axial piston pumps from abroad to meet the production demand. To decrease the reliance on foreign products, the domestic manufacturers start to design the axial piston pump by themselves. Due to the lack of technology accumulation, the axial piston pumps producted perform not as well as the imported.This paper derives from the major special project of Fujian province------"Application and Industrialization of the Research of the Middle-High Pressure Hydraulic System and Key Components in Engineering Mechinery" and cooperates with company in ShangHai. This paper selects axial piston pump with the negative flow and total power control as the research object, and makes a comprehensive analysis of axial piston pump by using virtual prototype technology.Firstly, analyze the structure and principle of the axial piston pump in-depth and comprehensive. And also derive the control and motion equation of the negative flow control and total horsepower control.Secondly, select the virtual prototype technology to study the axial piston pump after comparing various simulation methods based on the previous analysis on the control and motion equation of the negative flow control and total horsepower control. And establish the virtual prototype of the axial piston pump.Thirdly, by using the established virtual prototype model, conduct a comprehensive study of the negative flow control and total horsepower control. Then do an experiment to testify the established model. And obtain the influence of the parameters’on pump by simulation.Finally, put forward a simplified piston pump regulator control scheme which has the same control performance as the original control scheme according to upon conclusions.The innovation of this paper is completely deriving the control and motion equation of the negative flow control and total horsepower control and establishing the whole axial piston pump virtual prototype model which contains the main pump and regulator. Then do experiments to testify the established model. According to the simulation, design a new regulator control scheme simplifies the structure of regulator.The obtained influence of key parameters on pump in this paper provides some theoretical reference for the design of the axial piston pump. It has some egineering application value. This paper establishs the basic theory for the localization of the high pressure and large flow axial piston pump and provides a new idea to study axial piston pump.
