As the main part of a loader, the actuator of a loader has been requested strictly,for the work environment being rather harsh sometimes. The designer used to adopt relatively conservative way to keep the actuator working in such environment during the traditional actuator designing, such as increasing the thickness of lever arm. More loaders, more waste of material, and more weight of the loader itself, which influences the global property and the economical efficiency of the product. So, the research on light weight of the actuator of the loader will be of great significant, in order to improve the whole performance and market competitiveness of the loader.According to the demand of enterprise and research status at home and abroad,the project, which focuses on multifunction crawler-type actuator, based on nonlinear finite element theory, virtual prototype technology, and optimal structure theory,studies on the stress of the loader in different working conditions by test. Under such circumstance which keeps its original working performance, the project researches on the light weight of the actuator of the loader, by the ways of topological optimization,size optimization and morphology optimization. The specific research contents as follows:(1) By studying on the loader’s working position, confirm the actuator’s movement working condition, and establish the mathematic model during the actuator’s working to access its stress condition and analysis value in each working condition.(2) Establish the actuator’s 3D entity model, which is guided into simulation software ADAMS for Dynamic Simulations in each working condition to compare with the mathematic model to verify its precision.(3)Lead 3D entity model built by Solidworks into finite element analysis software ANSYS by special interface, and make modal analysis by Lanczos.(4)Upload load spectrum under different working conditions that obtained by virtual prototype to finite element modal of ANSYS, which can obtain the actuator’s stress and displacement under different working conditions, and evaluate its mechanical property, and guide the following optimization.(5) According to the result of finite element analysis, make a light weight scheme,and make parameterization modeling for it at the same time, and get a bestprioritization scheme by multiple target genetic algorithm.(6) On the premise that each index meets the designing demand, using Fatigue Tool to make fatigue life analysis about the actuator of the loader, and estimate its minimum useful time.
